I'm excited to be invited to show a series of images at one of the most reputable hotels in Kemp Town. Framed metallic prints capturing the sights, textures & tones of this dazzling City, including prints of the fantastic light show at the Royal Pavilion over Brighton Festival.

The collection is on display in the New Steine Hotel dining room and can be viewed daily until September 30th. A preview night will take on Thursday 11th August 18.00 - 21.00.

We at Oxford Street Studio invite you to visit our 'Open House.' A friendly venue with a great selection of new art work in a variety of different mediums. Our show entitled 'Celebration!' reflects our excitement at being a part of the 50th Brighton Festival. Work by Resident Artists Nick Ford, Judy Alexander, John Nutley & Caroline Marsland, with a warm welcome to new comers David Lilly, Pat Poore and Monty Python's very own Carol Cleveland!

 

Conveniently situated in the heart of Brighton, this venue 16 on the ‘Beyond The Level’ trail and is well worth a visit.  We have an eclectic and inclusive mix of artists, from LGBT, international & local backgrounds. We are a child-friendly studio and will be offering a selection of workshops & demonstrations, all which will be confirmed via our website.

Because our friends are dying... A solo exhibition by Alf Le Flohic supporting The Sussex Beacon 

30th November & 1st December 2015 10.00 - 20.00 daily  

Oxford Street Studio is proud to show case an important series of images taken at an ACT UP demonstration in Paris 1992 by Alf Le Flohic. It was a time when the fight against HIV/AIDS was moving painfully slowly.

This two day event will be raising much needed funds for The Sussex Beacon with limited edition prints, tombola & red ribbons. A drinks reception will take place on the 30th from 17.00. All visitors and donations welcome.

'Crazy in Love' Photographic Exhibition by Carolyn Brown

Oxford Street Studio would like to proudly present this fantastic body of work by Photographer Carolyn Brown. 

Carolyn graduated from Loughborough University with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, and has built upon this foundation, producing work of exceptional quality.

Nepal - Past and Present

20th August - 26th August 2015

Oxford Street Studio would like to proudly present: 'Nepal - Past and Present'' by local Photographer John Nutley. 

The recent earthquakes in Nepal have caused irreparable damage to the country’s cultural heritage, and have even changed the landscape.

The photographs in this exhibition were taken in October and November 1987. Some are compared with press photos and other images taken during and after the Earthquakes, showing the extent of the devastation.

25% of all sales will be donated to help the people of Nepal to rebuild their country.

'Nepal - Past and Present' will be on display from 20th August through to 26th August at Oxford Street Studio, 19 Oxford Street, Brighton, BN1 4LA (Free admission). 10.00 - 18.00 daily.

Oxford Street Studio would like to proudly present a solo photographic exhibition entitled '+2.5 vision' by talented photographer Jim Browning. 

The images on display are from a variety of international and local locations and Jim's aim is to get you as the viewer to see the 'World through his eyes'.

Jim Browning has lived in Brighton for over 20 years, and this is his first solo exhibition. He has worked in education for over 40 years, and is now enthusiastically embracing photography!

Brighton Photo Fringe 2014

October 4 - November 2

 

4X8 was the first Brighton Photo Fringe exhibition held at the Studio, hosted by Nick. Having eight individual shows over the course of the month enabled eight photographers to show their work for four days each, using the studio as a blank canvas to show their work. We had lots of positive feedback and sales, and overall was a great experience!
